I put the Nesting material to a lvl 1 storage character (mule), but I cannot put it into storage. I now have the other items and need the nesting material again on my lvl20 main char. How do I realise this?

50 spiritwood planks. Go farm 50 in a day or two at 2 hours a day. Go ahead I challenge you to.
As to the poster above you.... why play a game that you can't do any of the new stuff in or take part in "fun" quests / things that get added if you're just supposed to "get by". Why continue to pay a company that does that for new products...Oh yeah you don't.

Who said you can't do any of the new stuff? It will just take you longer because you can't put in the same amount of time. You aren't being cheated out of anything.

Bullcrap. My friend feels cheated and that will affect his decision and others who feel the same way about buying GW2 and any other expansion that ArenaNet puts out before GW2.
It doesn't matter if you feel that they are wrong because that is how they feel.

Has anyone tries this before:
1) Get ur first Black Moa Chick
2) Put ur Zho's Journal back to storage
3) Win another Zho's Journal from the Norn Tournament
4) Read and talk to Juno
5) Get all the required materials for Incubator Kit
6) Go see Katharine
Will this make another Incubator?
Please try this if u have a second Zho's Journal (haven't try yet since I need to go to school lol)

I found a sneaky way past this!
The incubator is customized, but can still be traded. Give that customized incubator to the character that is holding the nesting material. Now, have that character double click the incubator...
Place the nesting material in the kit, and hand the kit back to the original owner. Nightfall requirement = bypassed.

Wow. I must get this little guy when I get GWEN. He'll go great with my pet Black Moa named Dinner. I'll name him Nibbles cuz he's just a cute little nibble. ^_^ *lol* Its sad that the thing I want most from GWEN is an enormously expensive and time consuming mini.
Has anyone tried walking around outside the Sunspear Great Hall with the Black Moa mini? Does it inspire the same terror as a normal sized Black Moa?

You + 3 heroes. Elementalist with KD fire attacks and aoe, MM, Healer. Start with 3 cobalts to make your army.
If you're a monk replace monk with an interrupt / healer curser type for the griffins.
Should get you a bit higher drop rate then +7 npc's.

Not on the character that already did it. Katherine won't talk to you again to let you make a new incubator. I tried on my one of two characters I play all the time, trying to help a friend.

I got my moa chick Friday evening. I did all the steps and then ran slam into a brick wall at Sorrow's Furnace. I haven't completed any of the SF quests, and I didn't relish attempting "To Sorrow's Furnace" with just my henchies. (Tried before, but always fail Alkar's Quest)
There were about 5-6 people in town all spamming for someone with Final Assault to lead a group into the furnace. After about an hour a nice chap wondered in with the quest and asked why so many people wanted the quest. We told him about the eggs and someone offered to pay 1k for a trip into the furnace. It was a reasonable price, so we all paid him 1k apiece and he led us thru the quest. Whew!

Artisan? 50 times 100g, 5 wood and 10 glittering dust. So 5 platinum, 250 wood and 500 glit dust if you don't have any spiritwood planks at all. Are you telling me that takes a long time to get?
All the other prestige items like elite armor and elite weapons also take time, effort and grinding to get. So why should this be any different? I know, I couldn't wait to get my hands on the little ball of feathers either, but there's nothing wrong with having to spend some time to get it and it really isn't that much time invested when you do it efficiently. Just get the stuff for the spiritwood planks while adventuring, it doesn't seem like the moa will run away

Sad to confirm that this doesn't work.
Put my first diary in storage and beat Zho --> no new diary.
Destroyed my first diary and beat Zho --> no new diary.
Looks like it really is 1-to-a-customer.
At least I got 5 bison tokens out o the deal...
------------------------------------------------------
So, let's take a moment to look at what it would take to get a pet on a throwaway character, the same way some people "farm" -50hp foci.
- You can get the egg on another character.
- You can harden the egg on another character.
- You can get the herring on another character.
- You can get the berries on another character.
- You can get the honeycomb on another character.
- You can get the nesting material on another character, thanks to Firebaall's trick.
- The throwaway character needs to beat Zho in the tourny.
- The throwaway character has to get "rushed" through the canthan mission up through Gayla Hatchery so you can craft the incubator. (You can farm the luxon faction on another character.)
- The throwaway character needs to get run to SF and taken in by someone with Final Assault.
That doesn't sound impossible. A few dedicated players could probably rock through cantha pretty fast, and a shiverpeaks run isn't too hard in this age of dervishes. If you made the throwaway character a Mo/N, you could pick up SV south of leviathan pits, toss on some runes, a totem axe, and a -50hp focus (if you've leveled high enough you need it), and beat Zho easily. (Then just recycle the runes and gear to the next throwaway char.)
While not impossible, moas would have to command very high prices to make this sort of effort worthwhile. Hmmm.... Thoughts?
--------------------------------------------
On the topic of farming spiritwood. Yeah... wood and dust are both super-easy to come by. Just do about any old farm out there and salvage your whites.
You can also farm spiritwood pretty reliably off the plant monsters in the forest. When I use my earth ele, I always get 10 or 15 spiritwood accidentally in the time it takes me to get a scar eater.

why farm spirit wood, it's a rare drop -- farm 250 wood and 500 dust by soloing super low level areas (with lvl 1-5 monsters) and salvageing them both off items.
wood salvages from 172 items
http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Category:Contains_wood
dust salvages from 91 items
http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Category:Contains_dust
both come from items that are dropped in low level areas in such high quantites that you can probly get all you need in around 4 hours - then just go to an artison that makes spiritwood planks (which there are a ton of, again in low level areas)... most it's going to cost you is a couple of salvage kits and a day or two of farming low lvl areas.
